Behavioral Health Technician Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician Lead to join our team at Northstar Behavioral Health Network. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our clients, while also demonstrating leadership qualities and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care and support to clients, including administering medications, documenting client information, and participating in recreational activities.
- Assist with intake and admission procedures, orientation of new clients, and completion of other forms.
- Participate in client recreational activities with a positive attitude and serve as a resource for clients through knowledge of services and opportunities in the community.
- Administer client medications and documents accordingly, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Clearly understand the program mission and how your work integrates with and advances the goals of the program.
- Use sound decision-making skills, exhibiting good judgment and realistic understanding of issues, and objectively document client-related topics in client files and communication logs.
- Be diplomatic and exhibit sensitivity toward other staff and client's feelings, needs, values, and opinions, and continuously seek out to improve by suggesting solutions to operational struggles.
- Respond constructively to feedback with an open mind and interact, communicate, and collaborate with team members to support the mission of NBH.
- Participate in staff meetings, complete clerical assignments, and support staff and director in making decisions.
- Launder agency linen and miscellaneous items as needed, and assist in food preparation and household cleaning duties as needed.
- Adhere to attendance and absence policies, participate in rotational and/or off-shift schedules, and able to work additional hours/off-shift as needed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Successfully complete a background study.
- Must know and understand the implications of 245G, sections 245A.65,, and, and Chapter 260E.
- Free of chemical use problems for at least two years immediately preceding hire date and sign a statement attesting to that fact.
- Must be eighteen years old.
- CPR and 1st Aid certified or willing to participate in courses provided by NBH.
- Must have a valid MN driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet research.
- Physical ability to perform the responsibilities of the position, including bending, stooping, sitting, walking, and lifting at least 30 pounds.
- Previous experience in human services and/or healthcare environments as related to position responsibilities.
- Direct client care experience with chemical dependency treatment and rehabilitation.
