We are looking for a talented and experienced Lighting Systems Engineer to contribute to our innovative projects at LANTANA LED. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of eight years of expertise in the lighting sector, particularly in LED technology and sophisticated manufacturing processes. This position will focus on the design, development, and evaluation of lighting solutions to ensure they adhere to the highest standards of performance and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development:

  • Develop and create cutting-edge lighting solutions, emphasizing both current and emerging LED technologies.
  • Produce comprehensive electro-mechanical designs, including schematics, layouts, and three-dimensional models.
  • Conduct simulations and analyses to confirm that designs satisfy specification requirements and industry benchmarks.

Project Management:

  • Oversee and manage various projects from initial concept to final production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Delivery, third-party manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Ensure timely project completion within budget constraints.

Technical Expertise:

  • Utilize advanced knowledge of LED lighting technology, thermal management, optics, and driver electronics.
  • Employ advanced manufacturing techniques such as CNC machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and new technologies to foster innovation.

Testing and Validation:

  • Design and implement testing protocols to verify product performance and durability.
  • Evaluate test results and incorporate design enhancements based on findings.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant safety and performance regulations.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, shop drawings, test reports, and user manuals.
  • Guarantee that all designs meet regulatory standards and industry guidelines.

Mentorship and Leadership:

  • Guide and mentor junior engineers and team members as the department expands.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering division.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the lighting sector, specifically with LED technology.
  • Deep understanding of electro-mechanical systems and advanced manufacturing materials and techniques.
  • Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Monday) and documentation management systems (e.g., PDM).
  • Familiarity with thermal management, optics, and driver electronics for LED lighting.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and standards (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS).
  • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
