Compensation: Starting salary at $80,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for all personnel on-site.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with employees and subcontractors to ensure prompt reporting of incidents.
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations and ensure follow-up on corrective measures.
  • Conduct site safety and regulatory audits.
  • Assist personnel in executing daily tasks in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Support ongoing demolition activities and ensure compliance by all workers.
  • Interpret and communicate relevant safety regulations.
  • Create and disseminate safety communications and alerts.
  • Assist in company-wide safety communications.
  • Coach employees and subcontractors on safety expectations and performance standards.
  • Support employee health and workers' compensation matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or certification in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training may be considered.
  • 2-5 years of experience in relevant fields, particularly in demolition site settings, with familiarity in DoD, DOE, and federal sites being advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, teamwork, and presentation abilities are required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, often in proximity to heavy machinery and under varying weather conditions.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver equipment and tools, with a maximum lifting requirement of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to enter and exit vehicles frequently and navigate rough terrain.
