Position Overview:

  • Engages in repetitive mechanical assembly tasks that require careful and precise manual dexterity to ensure high standards of assembly output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to all safety protocols and quality assurance guidelines. Completes all necessary training related to safety and product quality.
  • Receives components for assembly or testing in a specified order.
  • Assembles and tests mechanical or electrical parts through skilled hand and equipment coordination.
  • May work on minor variations of standard in-house products.
  • Follows detailed assembly and testing instructions, including color coding and thermal welding techniques.
  • Utilizes basic hand tools and power tools along with simple jigs and fixtures.
  • Records work hours in the ERP system, if applicable.
  • Completes all necessary production documentation.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and conducts regular housekeeping audits to promote a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Interprets and understands basic layout and assembly schematics.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
  • Addresses the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.

Position Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Required Skills: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through relevant work experience, coursework, or personal projects.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, stand, hear, and see consistently.
  • Capable of walking, writing, and typing frequently.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to climb and descend stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull occasionally.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • May work in both indoor and outdoor environments as required.
  • Exposure to temperatures ranging from 0 to 120 degrees.
  • May work in areas with high noise levels requiring hearing protection.
  • Potential exposure to varying levels of dust and dirt.
  • Work surfaces may include concrete.
  • Proficiency in operating a computer and communicating via telephone is necessary.
