Company Overview:

Perpetual is an innovative healthcare robotics startup dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and precision of inventory management in healthcare environments.

We are in search of a meticulous and skilled individual to take on the role of our inaugural assembly technician. This position is vital for ensuring the seamless execution of our production workflows by effectively assembling components and robots, as well as assisting in the upkeep of our 3D printers and related equipment.

In this role, you will be instrumental in constructing prototypes, evaluating new product ideas, organizing and maintaining engineering workspaces, and performing soldering and reworking of PCBAs. Collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers will be essential as you fabricate components, fixtures, and assemblies.

The ideal candidate should possess both electrical and mechanical capabilities, along with outstanding organizational skills to excel in a dynamic startup atmosphere. A hands-on approach to soldering, cable assembly, machine tools, and testing equipment is required.

This position requires onsite presence. Candidates must be able to commute regularly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Constructing structures and test rigs
  • Soldering, wiring, and installing electrical components such as PCBs
  • Performing quality inspections on assembled products to detect any defects or deviations from specifications

Qualifications:

  • Experience in assembly processes
  • Familiarity with tools and components, including power tools, soldering irons, and calipers
  • Mechanical expertise in prototype assembly, product testing, and 3D printing
  • Experience in maintaining workshops and engineering labs, including inventory management and 3D printer upkeep
  • Background in assembly work, ideally within a manufacturing or production setting

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in small startups
  • Exceptional organizational abilities
  • Electrical experience in building PCBAs and wire harnesses
