Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Air National Guard Units as a Human Resources Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on human resources programs and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to commanders and supervisors on human resources programs and policies.
  • Develop and implement internal policies and procedures governing administration of personnel employment programs.
  • Manage and provide guidance on various special programs, including the Career Enhancement program, Customer Service program, and Employment program.
  • Administer the test program, including the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT) and Defense Language Aptitude Battery Test (DLAB).
  • Monitor and provide technical guidance on human resources matters, including personnel records, identification cards, and entitlement programs.
Requirements
  • Applicants must have at least 12 months of specialized experience in human resources, education, or training equivalent to at least the GS-07 level.
  • Experience must include activities such as interpreting policy, developing internal policies and procedures, and managing personnel records.
  • Applicants must be able to provide expert advice and guidance on human resources programs and policies.

Group I: All qualified male/female enlisted members (E1/AB - E6/TSgt) employed (permanent) in the Virginia Air National Guard Military Technician Program.

Group II: All qualified Virginia Air National Guard male/female enlisted members (E1/AB - E6/TSgt) regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR).

Group III: Individuals eligible for membership in the Virginia Air National Guard.
