Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team in the DC, MD, VA area. This hybrid role will report to the Sr. Director of Human Resources and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including employment, compensation, and benefits, performance, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and data in HRIS systems
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation
- Assist with performance management procedures and generate reports on HR activity
- Respond to internal and external HR inquiries and provide assistance
- Help plan and coordinate company events and administer health and welfare plans
- Support additional ad hoc HR projects and initiatives
- 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources
- Working knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential data and maintain a high level of professionalism
- Human Resources certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
- Experience using Workday, ADP WorkforceNow, and iCIMS
- Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field
