Job Summary

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our team in developing and maintaining our Human Resource technology ecosystem. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support our HR technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
  • Translate business priorities into technical requirements and integrate HR value proposition and strategies to meet business needs
  • Deliver solutions in Workday across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, and Benefits through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards
  • Effectively communicate across teams, product owners, stakeholders, and influence solutions across business partners
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with HR partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results
  • Continually research, test, and stay up-to-date on Workday updates, fixes, and capabilities
  • Build and maintain thorough documentation for system implementation
  • Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and technical perspective
  • Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 4 years of experience in platform engineering on HR platforms (Workday, Peoplesoft, or Successfactors)
  • At least 2 years of experience designing and developing integration solutions
  • At least 2 years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience working with Workday Human Resources modules including HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, or Talent and Performance Management
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing integration solutions in Workday using Core Connectors, Workday Studio, Custom Reports, or RaaS solutions
  • 3+ years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP
  • Workday Integration Developer certifications
  • 1+ years designing and developing solutions using Workday Extend
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
