Job Summary

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to support the project team in the Mercer County area. The primary responsibility is to manage client invoicing, payments, reports, and other duties related to the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounting-related functions for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist project teams with any questions or needs related to the accounting department, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Manage invoices, payments, and compliance for assigned projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Understand compliance requirements for assigned projects, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working for a General Contractor, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor payments using job cost subcontract and purchase orders.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Key competencies include communication, teamwork, initiative, and dependability.
  • Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate software experience is highly desirable.
