Verista is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of medium to large-sized projects in the Finance domain. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a world-class team and contribute to the growth and innovation of the life science industry.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute project plans to deliver on intended outcomes, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Collaborate with IT Business Partners and Digital Capability Managers to define project teams and ensure effective communication.
- Coordinate with cross-functional resources to drive project outcomes, proactively removing impediments and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Manage project deliverables, schedules, governance, and vendors to ensure they meet their execution milestones within cost estimates.
- Prepare and provide regular project status reports to keep project sponsors informed of project health.
- Monitor and control project schedules and financials, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Report on project progress, KPIs, and outcomes to senior management.
- Must be willing to work onsite in Lawrence, NJ.
- Strong background in financial operations and reporting in the pharma industry.
- Solid grasp of portfolio and program framework.
- Experience reporting project status to senior leadership.
- Strong stakeholder building and relationship skills.
- Strong vendor management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong risk management skills.
- Strong team management skills.
- Data analytical and integration experience desired.
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Agile experience desired but not required.
- Experience in Project and Portfolio management tool ServiceNow is required.
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management.
- Experience managing teams, including remote team members.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience managing budgets up to $3MM.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required.
- ITIL certification preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle issues that occur during project execution.
- Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, MS Project, and other project management tools.
- Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a variety of personality types.
