Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Development Specialist to join our team at Northwest Human Services, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to unsheltered and street-oriented young adults, ages 18-24 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and supervision of youth staying in our overnight shelter
  • Collaborate with youth to set and achieve their health, housing, education, and employment goals
  • Offer emotional and crisis support to youth as needed
  • Participate in program development discussions and receive training to enhance your skills
  • Contribute to a safe and secure environment for all youth
Requirements
  • Associates degree in psychology, sociology, human development, education, criminal justice, or a related field
  • Minimum one year experience working with youth/young adult population required
  • Experience with at-risk youth/young adults preferred
  • Oregon Driver's License and proof of auto insurance
