Strategic Accounts Director

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Accounts Director to join our team at Wabash Inc. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic customer relationships and developing tailored solutions to drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute multi-year strategies for each account in your portfolio
  • Implement a relationship management plan to ensure ongoing satisfaction and loyalty
  • Clearly understand and drive to financial targets for your accounts and the entire team
  • Align individual objectives to accomplish team goals
  • Coordinate the engagement of our organization with the customer organization to ensure effective two-way communication and issue resolution
  • Manage key client and customer relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction and loyalty
  • Act as a subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team
  • Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices
  • Define and implement clear KPIs with customers and internally to drive results
  • Provide leadership to anyone who supports the account

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred Major: business law, management, economics, accounting, finance, mathematics, marketing, or statistics)
  • Minimum 10 years of successful sales experience, including at least 5 years of sales leadership experience
  • Demonstrated skills in forecasting and attaining or exceeding sales, profitability, and budget goals
  • Strong team building, coaching, development, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to effectively implement sales and marketing strategies on a national basis
  • Ability to effectively balance team and customer performance with strategy and pivot if necessary
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate ideas and communicate effectively with the sales team, operations, senior management, and customers
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Track record of growing sales in both existing accounts and conquest accounts through the leadership of a sales team
