Job Summary

WR Systems is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our GeoNavigation Technologies Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing Geospatial/Geographical Information Systems (GIS) using advanced GIS tools and programming languages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement geospatial charts, QGIS, and other 3rd party analysis tools.
  • Design and implement database programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python.
  • Develop proficiency in languages such as C#,.NET, Blazor, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various mapping languages.
  • Utilize mapping tools such as QGIS and Carto to create accurate and informative maps.
  • Apply outstanding quantitative skills to analyze and interpret complex data.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and good problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality results.
  • Develop an analytical mindset to identify and address complex problems.
  • Communicate effectively through written and verbal communication.
  • Build strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Three (3)+ years of professional experience in GIS analysis and development.
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysts performing intersection of data analysis, programming, and cartography.
  • Ability to support division travel to trade shows and customer sites on a limited basis.
