About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer to join our team at Sterling Boiler & Mechanical. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply critical engineering and management thinking to drive project success
  • Develop and implement safety plans to ensure a safe working environment
  • Conduct site audits and material testing to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Perform inventory checks, daily field engineering tests, and cost analyses to optimize project efficiency
  • Assist with drawings, estimating, scheduling, and surveying to ensure project accuracy
  • Support procurement and quality assurance reviews to ensure high-quality materials and services
  • Maintain accurate records and files, and process charts, graphs, and proposals as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management, or related field
  • Leadership potential, problem-solving skills, and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Construction Management skills and knowledge of industry standards
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, as well as occasional climbing, balancing, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment is typically moderate to high noise level, with occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock. Proper personal protective equipment and safeguards must be utilized to ensure safety.
