Financial Specialist II Job Description

The Vermont Department of Health Business Office is seeking a skilled financial professional to join our team. As a Financial Specialist II, you will play a crucial role in assisting with accounts payable, receivable, employee payroll, and expenses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Process employee payroll and expenses
  • Perform financial data analysis and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical work involving financial records
  • Completion of a vocational/technical training program in business, office administration, or a related field and one year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical work involving financial records
  • Associate's degree in accounting, business administration, office administration, or a related field
  • Two years of full-time college coursework in accounting, business administration, office administration, or a related field
  • One year of experience as a Financial Specialist I with the State of Vermont
