The primary responsibility of the Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist is to conduct diagnostic assessments and provide therapeutic interventions for pediatric students within an educational environment. The objective is to assist students with speech and language challenges in achieving their highest potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with school personnel and families regarding students' speech and language needs
  • Perform initial screenings and comprehensive evaluations to assess the need for services
  • Engage in the IEP process to establish performance levels, goals, and treatment recommendations for eligible students
  • Deliver speech therapy sessions based on current best practices as outlined in the IEP
  • Maintain all necessary documentation in accordance with district requirements and ethical standards
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Possession of a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Current license to practice in the state of Texas
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
