As we expand our partnerships with Texas schools, we are actively seeking dedicated Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to enhance our team in the Dallas area.

Our SLPs are essential in delivering exceptional speech and language therapy services to students from preschool through high school.

The role involves working in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team to address students' communication requirements, thereby promoting their active participation in educational activities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Utilize a range of diagnostic tools to accurately determine student needs.
Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Development:

Create, implement, and modify IEPs or 504 Plans for students with speech and language challenges, ensuring that objectives are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.


Therapy and Intervention:

Deliver direct therapy in educational environments, employing evidence-based methods to address speech, language, voice, fluency, and related disorders.

Engage students in targeted activities designed to alleviate their challenges.

Collaboration and Consultation:

Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals (such as occupational therapists and psychologists) to develop comprehensive support strategies for students.

Provide training and guidance to school staff and families to foster speech and language development.

Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain precise and confidential records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, along with professional ethical standards.
Professional Development:
Stay informed about the latest research, tools, and techniques in speech-language pathology. Engage in professional development opportunities and apply new insights to practice.
Monitor progress, assess outcomes, and modify treatment plans as necessary to support student advancement.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and team members to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on goals and strategies.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, session notes, and progress reports.
Flexible part-time, full-time, on-site, and hybrid positions are available.
Caseload age range spans from Pre-K to 12th grade.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
Valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
New graduates are welcome; supervision can be provided.
Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws.

Experience with individuals with diverse learning needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders.

Familiarity with Special Education principles and practices.
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and other school personnel, as well as students' families.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various school locations as required.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in speech-language therapy and special education.
Bilingual candidates with Spanish language skills are highly valued.
