About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to supervise our dynamic team of Technical Services and Computer Services professionals.

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop their team members, as well as stay current on library trends and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 9 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of library services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our technical services operations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the development of our collection and enhance access to technology and other resources.
  • Stay current on library trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our services and operations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Library Science or related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising a team.
  • Knowledge of library technologies and systems, including integrated library systems and digital resources.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, and communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with troubleshooting and supporting hardware and software, including MS Office 365.
  • Knowledge of integrated library system administration, including Polaris.
