Position Overview:
We are looking for a driven and experienced Senior Composites Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Innovation team, focusing on Rotors and Composites. This role is essential in leading research and development projects aimed at advancing composite technologies and enhancing concurrent engineering efforts across various programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your expertise to develop innovative solutions in composite manufacturing and design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams from the initial concept through to implementation.
- Tackle technical challenges with creative and effective solutions, fostering a strong culture of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Producibility.
- Lead research initiatives that push the boundaries of Composite Manufacturing and Inspection technologies.
- Oversee the complete R&D cycle, from drafting manufacturing technology development plans to executing projects and documenting results comprehensively.
- Cultivate relationships with suppliers and support capital expenditure activities, including creating Statements of Work (SOWs) and managing project status.
- Mentor junior engineers, sharing your extensive knowledge in composite structures manufacturing and design.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace or Defense Composite manufacturing or a related field, including:
- Manufacturing of composite primary structures or rotor blade construction.
- Secondary bonding of composite structures and surface preparation.
- Knowledge of thermosets, toughened resin systems, thermoplastics, and adhesive systems.
- Experience in composites product and tooling design, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
- Strong project management experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

What You Need to Succeed:
- A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Materials Science preferred) or a related technical discipline. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Preferably 10 years of experience in the relevant technical fields.
- Familiarity with managing medium-to-large scale projects in a flight technology context.
- Experience with capital management, project scheduling, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, ideally CATIA V6/3DX.
- A passion for innovation and a creative mindset.
