Job Summary

Essner Manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assembly Technician to lead our production team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the assembly process, ensuring quality and efficiency, and driving productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Assembly Technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Collaborate with the Area Supervisor to manage tooling and supplies, ensuring optimal production efficiency.
  • Assemble parts and components using fixtures, jigs, templates, and measuring instruments, adhering to Engineering Assembly guidelines.
  • Drill, tap, ream, and countersink holes in subassemblies, and bolt, rivet, or fasten detail parts into structural assemblies using hand tools and power tools.
  • Inspect, measure, verify, and approve assemblies and paperwork according to blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, and customer requirements.
  • Mix and use various adhesives per Engineered routing/customer specification(s).
  • Perform 100% visual inspection of assemblies and identify defects in hardware, details, and assemblies.
  • Periodically assist in other production areas at the discretion of the Production Supervisor or Operations Management team.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience of 6 years.
  • Ability to read/interpret Engineering drawings.
  • U.S. person status required (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing experience of 10 years.
  • Experience developing assembly tooling.
  • Aerospace Assembly experience of 4 years.
