The Jewish Community Relations Council of New York (JCRC-NY) is seeking a highly skilled Social Media and Communications Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the organization, this individual will be responsible for managing and generating content for JCRC-NY's social media accounts, establishing and increasing followings and engagement on each platform, and creating and scheduling a calendar of social media posts.

Key responsibilities include managing and updating the JCRC-NY website, managing mass email communication software, planning, developing, and implementing all activities relating to communications, and consulting with staff to identify and write stories/articles of interest to share through the media, social media, website, and other platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience or a Master's degree with 1-3 years of experience in communications, social media, and content production. They will possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, significant attention to detail and accuracy, and strong familiarity and experience working with a variety of social networks, including X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms.

The Social Media and Communications Specialist will report to the Chief Executive Officer and must be based in the New York metropolitan area. This is a full-time position requiring working some evenings and weekends throughout the year, with a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work a minimum of three days per week in the office.
