Special Education Teacher Opportunity

Spurwink Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a leader in the classroom, you will be responsible for creating a culture of learning and respect, while nurturing individual relationships with each student.

This role requires both classroom management and instructional responsibilities, including implementing CARE principles, delivering assessment tools, creating lesson plans, writing IEPs, coordinating with the clinical team, supervising educational technicians, and various other duties in a day treatment special education setting.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and Maine State certification as Teacher of Exceptional Students (282) or Teacher of Students with Severe Intellectual and Associated Impairments (286), as appropriate to the position and age level of students
  • Eligibility for conditional certification as a special education teacher
Compensation and Benefits
