Job Description

The primary function of this role is to orient and educate nursing personnel in the nursing center and ensure safe effective nursing care according to federal, state, and facility guidelines, policies and procedures. This position involves developing education programs in response to staff needs and teaching staff current accepted patient care and nursing center practices.

This role requires report to the Director of Nursing, developing education programs, supervising new nursing employees throughout their individualized orientation period, performing annual competency testing and evaluation, clinically appraising nursing staff performance to identify areas for education, and providing oversight to Employee Health Program.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license
  • Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred
  • Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred
  • Excellence in clinical nursing skills required
  • Experience in Gerontology preferred
  • Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $45.00 per hour based on industry standards and location. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as paid time off and tuition assistance.
