Job Overview

The Bachrach Group LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Editorial Assistant to join their dynamic team for a temporary full-time position. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Publishing Development and provide critical support to the Publishing Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced editor to increase their portfolio and work with a leading publisher in the physical sciences.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of editorial experience and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of up to $28/hour and the company is looking to fill the position as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review submissions to ensure they meet ethical standards and adhere to the company's publishing guidelines.
  • Manage articles through the peer review and production processes, ensuring timely publication and maintaining high-quality content.
  • Communicate effectively with authors, editors, and conference organizers, providing guidance on publishing processes and addressing inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with administrative tasks that support the success of the Conference Proceedings program, including data entry, record-keeping, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage time effectively, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with the ability to adapt to changing situations and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes, with a strong desire to continuously improve and grow professionally.
