Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Auditor with experience in the Non-Profit sector. The Senior Auditor will play a crucial role in preparing and analyzing financial statements, conducting internal audits, managing risks, and offering strategic financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning and execution of intricate financial audits to ensure adherence to established policies and regulations.
- Assess and enhance the efficiency of risk management and internal control systems.
- Prepare and evaluate financial statements and reports, providing recommendations for financial planning and oversight.
- Conduct thorough research on historical financial data; analyze and report on financial trends and projections.
- Review and suggest improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of junior auditors or accountants during audits.
- Advise on financial risks and their potential impacts on the organization's financial health.
- Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and legislation that may influence the organization's operations.
- Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and engaging in professional organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience in public accounting, internal auditing, risk management, and financial statement preparation.
- Strong grasp of data analysis and forecasting techniques.
- Proficient in accounting software and databases.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- High level of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, and regulations.
