Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Senior Audit Associate with experience in the Non-Profit sector. The Senior Audit Associate will play a key role in the preparation and evaluation of financial statements, conducting internal audits, managing risks, and offering strategic financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning and execution of intricate financial audits to ensure adherence to established policies and regulations.
  • Assess and enhance the efficiency of risk management and internal control systems.
  • Prepare and scrutinize financial statements and reports to provide recommendations for financial planning and oversight.
  • Conduct thorough research of historical financial data; analyze and report on financial trends and projections.
  • Review and suggest improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Guide and coordinate the efforts of junior auditors or accountants during audits.
  • Advise on financial risks and their potential impacts on the organization’s financial health.
  • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and legislation that may influence the organization’s operations.
  • Enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and engaging in professional organizations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in public accounting, internal auditing, risk management, and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong grasp of data analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Proficient in accounting software and databases.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

  • Solid understanding of auditing standards, procedures, laws, and regulations.
