Assistant Department Manager

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong focus on customer service and sales. As an Assistant Department Manager - Product Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for training and developing Product Sales Specialists and ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and product information to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Training and Development: Train and develop Product Sales Specialists to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service and sales support.
- Merchandising and Inventory: Ensure the overall merchandising, pricing, and organization of the department, including the processing of merchandise to the showroom floor and validating product placement and pricing.
- Communication: Communicate standard operating procedure direction and changes to all associates in a timely manner and communicate inventory needs to management.
- Leadership: Provide direction to all product sales specialists to ensure a highly attentive and accurate level of customer service and lead by example in terms of customer service and sales skills.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: 1 year of customer service/sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills (verbal & written), ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to drive and teach the company philosophy around the basic P's of retail.
This role requires frequent exposure to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.
Physical/Sensory RequirementsThis role requires the ability to exert pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers to handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
