Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our data infrastructure and pipelines. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the availability, reliability, and scalability of our data systems to support business analytics and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of data engineers to design, develop, and implement data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data solutions.
- Design and implement data architectures to support business analytics and operations.
- Ensure data quality, security, and governance.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in data engineering or a similar role, with a focus on data integration, data pipelines, and database management.
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration patterns.
- Proficiency in AWS services for data engineering, such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, and related technologies.
- Experience with Snowflake data warehouse architecture, design, and optimization.
- Familiarity with Qlik for data modeling, visualization, and dashboard development.
- Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation, automation, and scripting.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of data governance, data security, and data privacy regulations.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of data engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to architect scalable and robust data solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
