Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Columbia, SC. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the planning, management, and execution of complex geotechnical projects. This includes developing engineering scope of work and fee estimates, communicating effectively with clients and team members, and performing design calculations and construction drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, management, and execution of complex geotechnical projects
- Develop engineering scope of work and fee estimates
- Communicate effectively with clients, business partners, and team members
- Perform design calculations, engineering analyses, and construction drawings
- Interpret geotechnical laboratory and instrumentation data
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 5+ years of relevant geotechnical and/or structural engineering experience in consulting
- South Carolina Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with geotechnical transportation-related design and familiar with SCDOT Geotechnical Design Manual
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Master's Degree or higher in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering
- Seismic design experience a plus
- Experience in dam design
