Position Responsibilities:

In alignment with our Mission and Guiding Principles, the Safety & Security Officer is responsible for:

Providing protective services to all individuals and property within the Mount Carmel Health System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrating Mount Carmel's Service Excellence Behavior Standards, holding oneself and others accountable while modeling excellence for all.
  • Meeting specific competencies and requirements as outlined by the department.
  • Promoting a Culture of Safety by adhering to established policies and procedures designed to prevent workplace injuries and ensure the safety of associates and patients.
  • Creating a caring and healing environment that prioritizes the patient and family experience, following the principles of our interdisciplinary care delivery model.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Completion of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy certification is required prior to assignment.
  • Experience: A minimum of three to five years in security, law enforcement, or military service, or equivalent training in criminal justice or related fields is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
