Job Summary

As a Senior Engineering Specialist at Synectic Solutions Inc., you will be responsible for preparing designs and specifications for complex equipment or systems. This includes planning approaches to solve design problems, conceiving and recommending new design techniques, and resolving design issues with contract personnel. You will also design and coordinate test set-ups and experiments to prove or disprove the feasibility of preliminary designs. Additionally, you will advise equipment users on redesign to solve unique operational deficiencies and plan approaches to conduct various experiments to develop equipment or systems characterized by difficult performance requirements or unusual combinations of techniques or components.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship and Active DoD Secret Clearance are required. You must have an Associate degree in engineering technology, math, or science, or formal electronics training from a technical school, Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or a four-year electronics apprentice program. A High School diploma or GED is also acceptable. You must have 12 years of experience with a degree or formal training, or 14 years of experience with a High School diploma or GED, including design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings. Notable experience preparing designs and specifications for complex equipment or systems is also required. Knowledge of 208 volts - 400Hz power is necessary, as well as understanding of unique operational deficiencies and experience determining test procedures and design of special test equipment.
