Mental Health Support Specialist

Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team in the City of Richmond. This role involves providing intermediate-level human support and ensuring the safety of clients with special needs.
About the RoleThis position requires a combination of moderate supervision and independent work. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and assist clients with activities of daily living
- Conduct facility inspections and maintain the cleanliness of the unit
- Perform customer service duties, including admitting clients and conducting tours
- Maintain clinical documentation and complete progress notes
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field (psychology, social work, counseling, etc.)
- Experience working with individuals with mental health issues or substance use disorders
- Basic typing and computer skills
