Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented Mechatronic Systems Specialist who possesses extensive experience in the design, development, and testing of intricate mechatronic systems. The successful candidate will have a robust understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards while effectively resolving system-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive project viability assessments in collaboration with product management and systems management teams.
2. Translate customer needs into technical specifications and oversee development and integration processes.
3. Design and architect systems while ensuring interdisciplinary collaboration.
4. Propose system design models, specifications, and diagrams to guide programming and development teams.
5. Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts among software, electronics, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams.
6. Manage technical risks throughout the product development lifecycle, including identification, analysis, and mitigation planning.
7. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the system engineering team, emphasizing system thinking concepts.
8. Understand and monitor verification and validation plans in line with system requirements.
9. Troubleshoot and assist the team in resolving system-level issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics/Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in mechatronic system design and development.
- Strong grasp of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in tools such as DOORS, ALM, Microsoft Azure, Windchill, and Teamcenter.
- Experience with programming languages including C, C++, and Python.
- Familiarity with control systems, sensors, and actuators.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience in an agile development setting is advantageous.
- Understanding of DFM, DFA, and serviceability concepts, along with hands-on experience with 3D CAD software.
