Position Summary:

  • Contribute to a developing initiative as part of a collaborative team. The current technical group focuses on software architecture, development, operational support, and maintenance across various systems and projects enhancing AI/ML/Data Management.
  • Assist the program's technical team in optimizing operations, automating workflows, and aligning enterprise data management solutions with the overall digital framework.
  • Employ the SCRUM Agile methodology for all software application development unless otherwise instructed by the client.
  • Create software applications as web services utilizing JavaScript-capable technologies unless directed otherwise. Technologies may include JavaScript, Java, and ASP.NET.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Extensive understanding of the software development life cycle, web applications, and implementation processes.
  • Proficient programming skills in two or more relevant applications or database programming languages.
  • Ability to convert user requirements into comprehensive designs for applications/databases that may interface with other applications or database systems.
  • Capability to identify and resolve programming issues effectively.
  • Ability to communicate technical protocols and procedures clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong planning and goal-setting skills, with the ability to monitor and assess progress towards objectives.
  • Competence in drafting clear, concise, and effective requirements documents, correspondence, procedures, and reports in line with organizational policies.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Perl, PHP, Ruby on Rails) and Rich UI Plugins (Flex, Silverlight, Google Earth Plugin).

Qualifications:

  • This is a Full Performance level position requiring either a bachelor's degree or 3 years of experience as a software developer. The candidate must be open to learning and contributing.
  • Experience in applying security updates, conducting security assessments, and evaluating vulnerabilities.
  • Experience in supporting the application accreditation process.
