Position Summary:

  • Contribute to a cutting-edge initiative as part of a collaborative team. The current technical group is engaged in software design, development, operations, and maintenance across various systems and projects that enhance AI/ML/Data Management.
  • Assist the program's technical team in optimizing operations, automating workflows, and aligning enterprise data management solutions with the broader digital architecture.
  • Employ the SCRUM Agile methodology for all software application development unless otherwise specified by the client.
  • Create software applications as web services utilizing JavaScript-based technologies unless otherwise directed. Examples include JavaScript, Java, and ASP.NET.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Extensive understanding of the software development life cycle, particularly for web applications and their implementation.
  • Proficient in programming with two or more relevant applications or database programming languages pertinent to the project.
  • Ability to convert user requirements into comprehensive designs for applications/databases that may involve multiple interfaces with other applications or supporting database systems.
  • Capable of identifying and resolving programming bugs effectively.
  • Skilled in articulating protocols, technical procedures, and processes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in planning, goal-setting, and strategizing for achieving results; able to monitor and assess progress towards objectives.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, and effective documentation, correspondence, procedures, and reports in line with established policies.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Perl, PHP, Ruby on Rails) and Rich UI Plugins (Flex, Silverlight, Google Earth Plugin).

Qualifications:

  • This is a Full Performance level position requiring either a bachelor's degree or 3 years of experience as a software developer. The candidate must be open to learning and contributing.
  • Experience in applying security patches, conducting security scans, and evaluating vulnerabilities.
  • Experience in supporting the application accreditation process.
