Job Summary

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition and Management
    • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and compensation.
    • Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Benefits Administration and Compensation
    • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs along with employee recognition programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
    • Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Employee Onboarding and Development
    • Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
    • Oversee employee onboarding, disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
    • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources, with a focus on talent acquisition and management, benefits administration, and employee development.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that drive business growth and success.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, management, and external partners.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
