Human Resources Director

Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to join our team as an Associate Director of Human Resources. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and guidance on human resources management, including compensation and benefits, talent management, training and development, performance management, recruitment, employee retention, and HR data management and reporting metrics.
Key Responsibilities- Provides strategic direction and ensures the effective execution of all aspects of human resources management.
- Consults with business on a broad range of organizational issues of critical importance.
- Provides guidance, consultation, and interpretation to management as it relates to employee relations, organizational development, legal issues, and policies and practices.
- Addresses and resolves employee relations issues, including conducting formal internal investigations as necessary.
- Assesses human resource needs and oversees the refinement and implementation of organization-wide systems and structures.
- Responds to staff needs and partners with internal business partners to ensure effective staff are recruited, retained, and developed.
- Works closely with organizational leadership and managers to maintain a positive work environment and culture, and helps facilitate the resolution of interpersonal issues.
- Fosters a trusting environment that is characterized by transparency, active listening, and direct communication.
- Collaborates closely with the senior management team to ensure that all Human Resources initiatives are aligned with the strategic direction and goals of the organization.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field; Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Proven experience in managing complex employee relations matters.
- Must have pharmaceutical experience.
- Experience in a startup organization is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all facets of Human Resources, including employee relations, company policy and procedure compliance, HR educational training, performance management, and HR-related processes and systems.
- Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively, up to executive levels, with other individuals and groups in a matrix organization.
- Advanced MS Office skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 15%.
