Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a team of MRP planners to guarantee the availability of materials.
  • Work closely with the upstream planning manager to ensure precision in the forecasting process.
  • Evaluate performance metrics and spearhead initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the upstream supply chain team.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement to enhance supplier on-time delivery rates.
  • Implement containment, corrective, and preventive measures to address upstream supply chain challenges, such as excess inventory and material shortages.
  • Serve as the primary contact for material-related escalations and foster a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Elevate critical supply chain issues with suppliers to senior management as necessary.

Qualifications for Success:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct leadership experience in Supply Chain management.

Business Acumen:
Familiarity with supply chain processes, value streams, reporting, and forecasting.

  • Previous experience in scheduling or planning is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP), as well as tools like Kinaxis, Tableau, and SQL.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills in a complex organizational environment.
  • Capability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive in seeking information, training, and resources for ongoing professional development.
