Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a team of MRP planners to guarantee the availability of materials.
  • Work closely with the upstream planning leader to maintain precision in the forecasting process.
  • Evaluate performance metrics and spearhead initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the upstream supply chain team.
  • Champion a continuous improvement strategy for supplier on-time delivery.
  • Implement containment, corrective, and preventive measures to address upstream supply chain challenges, such as excess inventory and material shortages.
  • Serve as the primary contact for material-related escalations and approach problem-solving with a proactive mindset.
  • Elevate critical supply chain issues with suppliers to senior management when necessary.

Qualifications for Success:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct leadership experience in Supply Chain.

Business Acumen Required:
Understanding of supply chain processes, value streams, reporting, and forecasting.

  • Prior experience in scheduling or planning is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP), as well as tools like Kinaxis, Tableau, and SQL.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills, particularly in complex organizational settings.
  • Capability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Initiative to seek out information, training, and resources necessary for ongoing professional development.
