As a participant in DispatchHealth's Transition to Practice Program, you will collaborate with fellow practitioners nationwide to apply your expertise from your advanced training as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

This program offers a comprehensive nine-month educational experience designed to equip you for independent patient care and ensure your professional success.

You will engage with your local team while also connecting with peers across the country. Furthermore, you will receive guidance and mentorship from experienced Advanced Practice leaders who will provide thorough education, training, and constructive feedback on managing acutely ill patients, contributing to the transformation of healthcare delivery.

Your Responsibilities:


During the initial phase of the program, you will engage in rigorous classroom instruction and practical skills training, complemented by personalized mentorship from seasoned providers while delivering care to patients within our innovative care delivery models.

Additional components of the program include mastering documentation best practices, receiving tailored coaching and feedback, and participating in virtual case studies with your cohort.

Key areas of study will encompass:

- Orientation to DispatchHealth and its care delivery models
- Assessment and management of acute conditions
- Overview of critical conditions such as Shock and Sepsis
- Management of respiratory and cardiovascular disorders
- Evaluation of gastrointestinal and genitourinary complaints
- Pediatric assessments
- Handling toxicological and metabolic emergencies, including pharmacology
- Recognizing urgent and emergent neurological conditions

Qualifications:
- Recent graduate with an advanced degree from an accredited institution or less than one year of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Valid and unrestricted state license as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Current national board certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Prescriptive authority and compliance with state-specific DEA requirements
- Two or more years of experience as a paramedic, RN (Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit), or Flight Nurse preferred
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
- Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Capability to navigate multiple flights of stairs with ease
