Job Title:

Assistant Professor of Economics and Computing

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics and Computing. The successful candidate will have a strong background in economics and computing, with a focus on the social, economic, and ethical implications of computing and networks.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead a vibrant, independent research program in the area of social, economic, and ethical implications of computing and networks.
  • Play an active role in shaping the academic work and culture of both the Economics and the SCC research communities.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in economics and computing, including courses on the social, economic, and ethical implications of computing and networks.
  • Supervise graduate and undergraduate research projects.
  • Mentor trainees at all levels.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Economics or a closely related field with a specialization in the social, economic, and/or ethical implications of computing and networks.
  • Strong research and teaching record.
  • Ability to develop and lead a vibrant, independent research program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
