Position Overview:The Regional Sales Leader will oversee a designated team within the assigned territory, ensuring effective and profitable management aimed at achieving district and branch objectives.
This role involves nurturing existing client relationships while also expanding our client base by regularly engaging with dental practices in the region, all while aligning with the strategic vision set by the branch manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
Establishes individual targets and responsibilities for the sales team to optimize sales performance in line with regional and branch strategies. Aids in the recruitment and training of new sales team members.
Maintains clear communication within the sales group and acts as a liaison with various internal departments, vendors, and clients.
Implements and communicates business strategies effectively while establishing efficient procedures that prioritize time spent with representatives and clients.Team Development:
Provides continuous training and development opportunities through regular sales meetings and collaborative fieldwork with the sales team. Offers constructive feedback and coaching to enhance the skills of the sales team.
Sales Growth:
Responsible for driving profitable sales growth across various supply and equipment categories. Analyzes district sales forecasts and evaluates all sales initiatives. Monitors the local market landscape and builds relationships with dental professionals and key practice personnel.
Strategic Sales Planning:
Develops both short-term and long-term business objectives. Actively gathers insights regarding Patterson products, competitive landscape, and industry trends. Assesses customer needs to identify sales opportunities.
Equipment and Technology Solutions:
Collaborates with other Patterson sales experts to showcase and sell equipment and technology.
Proactively identifies opportunities to discuss equipment and technology solutions tailored to specific customer needs and emerging trends in the dental sector.
Clearly articulates the advantages and features of equipment and technology solutions relevant to customer interests. Communicates the financial benefits of equipment investments, including return on investment and tax incentives.Client Relationship Management:
Ensures strong customer relations. Addresses customer inquiries, resolves issues promptly, and conducts client relationship meetings to assess satisfaction levels with Patterson's services and support, highlighting all value-added services offered.
Oversees direct reports, including hiring, development, performance management, goal setting, and other managerial responsibilities.
Ensures that direct reports are informed of and adhere to established business policies, practices, and the Company's Code of Conduct to foster a supportive and productive work environment.
Four-year degree.
Minimum of three years of experience in business-to-business sales.
At least three years of experience in the dental sector.
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
3-5 years of successful sales experience within Patterson.
Ability to analyze financial data.
Strong process orientation and leadership capabilities.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in computer applications, including spreadsheets and word processing software.
Commitment to fostering a customer-centric culture.
Proven track record in effectively hiring, training, engaging, and motivating team members.
