Position Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to fill a pivotal role within our support team. This position is essential for providing exceptional support to our global clientele.

Reporting Structure:

This role reports directly to the Team Leader of Americas Support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist global customers through various communication channels, including email and webcasts, offering guidance on product installation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the AlgoSec knowledge base while actively participating in the development of the support organization.
  • Implement support methodologies and tools to improve service delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with global support teams and engage with R&D, Delivery, and Product Management departments.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a software organization.
  • Proficiency in Linux/UNIX environments.
  • Experience with firewall administration and configuration, including but not limited to Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet.
  • Background in supporting network security software products.
  • Demonstrated independence, resourcefulness, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.
  • Strong team player with a pleasant demeanor and high integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to provide 24x7 support to our global customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Linux scripting languages such as PERL or shell scripting.

Compensation:

The estimated On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position ranges from $75,000 to $85,000, with exact compensation varying based on skills, experience, location, training, and certifications.
