Job Title: Associate Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team at East Bay Municipal Utility District. As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, constructing, and maintaining electrical power systems for our water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical power systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities, including substations, power distribution systems, and cogeneration plants.
  • Conduct engineering analyses of electrical issues impacting proposed projects and prepare technical reports and proposals.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to facility maintenance personnel on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Plan and manage projects, including developing project scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Prepare and review electrical power system analysis, including load calculations, transient motor starting, harmonics, short circuit, coordination study, protective relays, and arc flash.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited electrical engineering curriculum or California EIT.
  • Four years of professional electrical engineering experience, subsequent to obtaining the degree.
  • California registration as a Professional Electrical Engineer and a valid California driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

  • A competitive salary range of $12,691 per month, increasing to $13,326, $13,992, $14,692, and $15,427 after 6, 18, 30, and 42 months, respectively.
