Hexagon Purus Texas, LLC., a division dedicated to vehicle assembly and manufacturing, is currently in search of a Production Schedule Manager to join our team. This role will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
The Production Schedule Manager is tasked with the creation, management, and upkeep of the production schedule to guarantee the timely delivery of electric vehicles. This position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of production workflows, supply chain dynamics, and advanced planning and scheduling (APS) systems. The Production Schedule Manager will work in close collaboration with multiple departments, including Procurement, Engineering, Production, and Quality Assurance, to synchronize production efforts with business objectives and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and sustain the master production schedule (MPS) to align with customer expectations and organizational targets.
- Evaluate sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels to devise an effective production strategy.
- Modify schedules in response to fluctuations in demand, resource availability, and other influencing factors.
- Employ and leverage advanced planning and scheduling (APS) tools to enhance production planning and scheduling efficiency.
- Collaborate with Procurement to ensure the timely availability of essential materials and components.
- Engage with Production teams to effectively allocate resources and streamline workflows.
- Oversee and manage capacity planning, ensuring optimal utilization of labor, machinery, and materials.
- Communicate any schedule adjustments and updates to all pertinent departments and stakeholders.
- Monitor and assess production performance metrics, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
- Generate regular reports on schedule compliance, production efficiency, and other critical performance indicators.
- Utilize scheduling software and tools to maintain precise and current production data.
- Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, production bottlenecks, and other challenges that may affect delivery timelines.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to refine scheduling processes and boost production efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in production scheduling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in production planning, scheduling, or a comparable role within a manufacturing context.
- Strong grasp of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Experience in the automotive or electric vehicle manufacturing sector is advantageous.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the capability to interpret complex data and provide informed recommendations.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities, fostering effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Capacity to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Adept at working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and tools is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
