Production Manager Multifamily - ILERWORK

ILERWORK is in search of a skilled Production Manager Multifamily to join a distinguished client in Texas. This position is pivotal in supervising and coordinating construction initiatives, which encompass the creation of new structures, expansions, renovations, and modifications. Effective collaboration with project teams, construction sites, and management is crucial for the successful delivery of projects.

The organization has evolved into one of America's leading Mechanical Construction and Facility Services firms, catering to clients throughout the entire lifecycle of a facility, including engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance.

The Production Manager plays a vital role in steering the Business Unit's production activities, ensuring that each construction endeavor is completed within the stipulated timeframe, budget, and quality standards. This role involves managing, mentoring, and developing team members.

  • Team Development: Guides, mentors, and nurtures direct reports to meet performance targets and organizational goals. Engages in timely and meaningful performance management discussions.
  • Workforce Management: Collaborates with Superintendents to determine manpower requirements and overall work schedules, ensuring a seamless workflow across the Business Unit. Responsible for recruiting skilled craft/trade workers for various construction projects.
  • Project Oversight: Evaluates job costs, production metrics, safety standards, and quality on projects to guarantee satisfactory progress and achievement of cost, margin, and profit goals.
  • Site Inspections: Conducts site visits to perform inspections, ensuring compliance with specifications, monitoring job progress, and addressing project and contract challenges.
  • Safety Compliance: Monitors adherence to project safety program requirements and works proactively to eliminate safety hazards from job sites, thereby reducing incidents and severity.
  • LEAN Implementation: Oversees the development and application of LEAN processes and construction methodologies across the Business Unit to enhance efficiency in construction practices.
  • Training Development: Manages the creation of technical training programs for field personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical construction.
  • Previous experience in a Superintendent role or similar capacity is essential.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience in multifamily construction is advantageous.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, specifications, details, and job orders.
  • Strong organizational, planning, delegation, and control skills in the work process.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven decision-making abilities with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and health & safety regulations.
