Multifamily Construction Production Leader - ILERWORK

ILERWORK is in search of a seasoned Production Manager specializing in multifamily projects for a distinguished client in Texas. This position entails the supervision and coordination of construction initiatives, which encompass the creation of new facilities, expansions, renovations, and modifications. Effective collaboration with project teams, construction sites, and management is crucial to guarantee the successful execution of projects.

The organization has evolved into one of America's leading Mechanical Construction and Facility Services firms, catering to clients throughout the entire lifecycle of a facility, including engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance.

The Production Manager plays a pivotal role in steering the production efforts of the Business Unit, ensuring that each construction project is finalized on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. This role involves managing, mentoring, and developing direct reports.

  • Guides, mentors, and develops direct reports to meet performance targets and organizational goals. Engages in timely and meaningful performance management discussions.
  • Collaborates with Superintendents to determine workforce levels and overall project schedules, ensuring a seamless workflow within the Business Unit. Responsible for recruiting skilled craft/trade workers for various construction assignments.
  • Assesses job costs, production metrics, safety protocols, and quality standards on projects to ensure satisfactory progress and that financial objectives are met.
  • Conducts site visits to perform inspections, ensuring compliance with specifications while monitoring job progress and addressing project and contract challenges.
  • Oversees adherence to project safety program requirements, working diligently to eliminate safety hazards from job sites to minimize incidents and their severity.
  • Facilitates the development and implementation of LEAN methodologies and construction techniques across the Business Unit to enhance efficiency in construction practices.
  • Manages the creation of technical training programs for field personnel.

Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of experience in mechanical construction is essential.
  • Previous experience in a Superintendent role or similar capacity is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience in multifamily construction is advantageous.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, specifications, details, and job orders.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, organize, delegate, and manage the work process.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Robust decision-making skills with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and health & safety regulations.
