Process Safety Specialist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Specialist II to join our team at Clearwater Paper and Manchester Industries. As a key member of our safety and compliance team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) programs to ensure the safe operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders to drive PSM/RMP initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), Management of Change (MOC) reviews, and Pre-Start-Up-Safety Reviews (PSSRs) to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Oversee the implementation of PSM/RMP programs, including training and documentation, to ensure effective management of process safety information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address safety and compliance issues, and develop corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of PSM/RMP program elements, including process safety information, training records, and audit results.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental, safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or business, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Three or more years of experience in an industrial environment, preferably in the paper industry.
- Strong understanding of PSM Pillars and ability to develop and implement effective PSM/RMP programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- PSM Certification or ability to acquire certification within 18 months.
- Process Hazard Analysis Certification or ability to acquire certification within 24 months.
- Root Cause Analysis Certification or ability to acquire certification within 24 months.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
