Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Education Support Specialist to join our team at Lewiston Public Schools. As an integral part of our educational team, you will provide essential support to teachers and students in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment
  • Support small group instruction and provide individualized assistance to students
  • Help with clerical tasks, such as attendance reports and record-keeping
  • Assist with setting up classrooms and preparing materials for instructional units
  • Operate standard school equipment, including computers, laminators, and audiovisual devices
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 60 college credits or certification as Ed. Tech. II #022 with the State of Maine preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
