Position: Assistant Professor - Neurocritical Care

Unit Mission: The Department of Neurology is committed to providing exceptional, patient-focused neurological services for both adults and children. Role Overview: The Assistant Professor position is situated within the Division of Neurocritical Care.

The faculty member will be integral to the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, requiring board certification in Neurology and Neurocritical Care. Responsibilities include delivering patient care, participating in the education of medical students, and contributing to clinical research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Duties: Providing comprehensive care for patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
  • Educational Role: Teaching medical students, neurology fellows, and critical care fellows.
  • Research Engagement: Participating in clinical and translational research efforts, including leading clinical trials.
  • Professional Service: Engaging in departmental and university committees and contributing to the professional community.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Board Certification in Neurology
  • Certification in Neurocritical Care (UCNS)
  • Completion of a fellowship in neurocritical care
  • Commitment to promoting diversity among faculty, staff, and students
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of experience in neurocritical care
  • Background in clinical leadership or quality improvement initiatives
  • Experience in clinical or translational research activities
